Embody the first weekend of Spring by expanding and releasing, just as nature is demonstrating. We’ll target the hips and sides of the body, stimulating the paired organs of Spring: the Liver and Gallbladder. These organs are responsible for purifying and cleansing the body while influencing our emotional landscape. Anger can be associated with an overworked liver and a healthy gallbladder ensures decisiveness. Experience physical and emotional freedom through sensation, breath and visualizations.
Yin Yoga postures are held for 2-7 minutes, targeting connective tissue and specific meridians. The slower pace also aids sleep, autonomic functions, sends calming waves through the nervous system and is preparation for meditation.
Open to all levels, some knowledge of yogic postures is helpful
