RITUAL | SPRING YIN YOGA
AN EXTENDED PRACTICE
Registration http://ritualhouseseattle.com/events
SUNDAY - MAY 17, 2020
4:00 - 6:00pm, $25
join jennifer isaacson and ritual house for an extended yin yoga practice. this practice will be held virtually and is open to anyone, anywhere, who has a screen + the zoom app.
in this extended practice, jennifer will be working with opening the hips and sides of the body, which stimulates the paired organs of spring: the liver and gallbladder. the liver and gallbladder are responsible for purifying and cleansing the body. these meridians also influence our emotional landscape. anger is associated with an overworked liver and a healthy gallbladder ensures decisiveness. experience physical and emotional freedom through sensation, breath and visualizations.
yin yoga postures are held for 2-7 minutes, targeting connective tissue and specific meridians. the slower pace of yin yoga also aids sleep, autonomic functions, sends calming waves through the nervous system and is preparation for meditation.
this workshop is open to all levels. some knowledge of yogic postures is helpful, but not required. have blankets, pillows, and a soothing space ready for this extended class.
This workshop is open to all.
